The Role
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Specialist or Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This is a hands-on role for someone early in their career (1–3 years of experience) who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys learning new skills, and takes ownership of projects from start to finish. You’ll have the opportunity to work across digital, events, and content marketing while partnering with experienced mentors and external agencies.
Responsibilities
- Draft, edit, and proof marketing materials including emails, web copy, social posts, and event content that align with Vizgen’s brand and tone of voice.
- Support the development and execution of email campaigns, nurture sequences, and customer communications through HubSpot and Salesforce.
- Maintain the marketing content calendar, coordinating with internal teams for campaign launches, webinars, and product announcements.
- Create and schedule organic and paid social media content, track and monitor performance metrics, and collaborate with external partners to optimize engagement.
- Assist in the planning and execution of scientific conferences and trade shows, including logistics coordination, promotional materials, and on-site support.
- Manage Vizgen’s website updates by coordinating with external partners on large-scale changes and handling day-to-day edits and optimizations through WordPress.
- Track, analyze, and report on marketing metrics and campaign performance, highlighting insights and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage vendor invoices, marketing assets, and budget tracking in collaboration with marketing leadership
- Conduct competitive research and summarize market trends to support product and campaign strategy.
- Contribute to new initiatives by identifying ways to streamline processes, enhance brand storytelling, and drive lead generation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, life sciences, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of professional marketing experience, preferably in life sciences, biotech, or technology.
- The ideal candidate will have foundational understanding of Life Sciences and an eagerness to learn more.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong sense of tone, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Experience managing social media platforms (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Blusky) and tracking campaign analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- Basic familiarity with marketing automation platforms (HubSpot preferred) and CRM systems (Salesforce a plus).
- Experience supporting webinars, paid search (SEM), or SEO optimization projects.
- Comfortable working with creative and design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).
- Strong visual eye and understanding of brand consistency.
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to take initiative — a true team player with a “figure it out” attitude.
- Willingness to travel to 2–3 conferences per year for on-site event
