Position Responsibilities
- Review customer specifications for exceptions and the ability to adhere.
- Support and provide written quotations through inside Sales team.
- Review designs for compliance to quotation, customer specifications and regulatory code.
- Performs R&D calculations, analysis and product testing; document in formal reports.
- Use tools such as FMEA and Fish-bone diagrams to evaluate potential failure modes.
- Product design creation based off evaluation of customer needs.
- Evaluate purchased components and materials for compliance to design specifications.
- Create electrical schematics.
- Build prototype designs.
- Maintains design record book via Vault and ERP system.
- Maintains and contributes to the technical knowledge base.
- Maintains tracking and trending data.
- Work with and support Manufacturing to solve problems effectively and efficiently.
- Program PLCs / HMIs for High Resistance Grounding (HRG) product line.
- Develop templates for automation of design and engineering.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor degree in electrical engineering required.
- Entry level position; internship and co-op work experience preferred.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in MS Office, excellent Excel skills required.
- Knowledge of a computer programming language.
- Highly motivated self-starter, confident and energetic.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Design, Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- Authorization to work in the USA; sponsorship is not available.
