The Opportunity
We are seeking a high-impact Assistant Controller to lead our accounting team and drive operational excellence. This role is ideal for former Big 4 professionals with 8–12 years of experience who thrive in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of ~15 (managers, seniors, and staff).
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including month-end close.
- Review medium/high-risk reconciliations and journal entries.
- Prepare and present balance sheet and income statement flux analyses to senior management.
- Conduct technical accounting research and draft memos supporting conclusions.
- Coordinate with and review requests from external and internal auditors.
- Assist in managing the consolidated chart of accounts.
- Drive continuous process improvement within the accounting function.
What You Bring
- Big 4 background required; CPA strongly preferred.
- 8–12 years of progressive accounting experience in large, complex organizations.
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting.
- Proven leadership skills with ability to motivate and challenge teams.
- Experience with large ERP systems (SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle, PeopleSoft).
- Advanced Excel and familiarity with PowerPivot, Power Query, Power BI.
