Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Licensed Civil Engineer to join our innovative team. Duties
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects from inception through completion, including site development, water/wastewater treatment systems, and pipeline infrastructure.
- Develop detailed project schedules using project management tools to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
- Prepare comprehensive construction documents utilizing AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and Schematics for accurate project visualization and implementation.
- Conduct construction management activities such as site inspections, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), and ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and ArcGIS for spatial analysis and mapping to support project planning and system design.
- Prepare accurate construction estimates using construction estimating software; review bids and assist in procurement processes.
- Apply hydraulic modeling tools like SWMM (Storm Water Management Model), HEC (Hydrologic Engineering Center models), and Mathcad for system calculations and performance analysis.
- Perform geotechnical assessments and land surveying to inform foundation design and site layout decisions.
- Manage technical documentation including reports, specifications, schematics, and system design documentation through technical writing best practices.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical engineers for water/wastewater treatment systems or mechanical components of infrastructure projects.
- Oversee construction inspection activities to verify compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
- Use construction management software to track progress, manage resources, and communicate project updates effectively.
- Engage with stakeholders to present project plans, progress reports, and technical findings clearly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license in civil engineering or equivalent certification recognized in the jurisdiction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience managing complex civil engineering projects across various sectors such as water treatment, pipelines, land development or infrastructure systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, Schematics drafting tools; experience with CAD platforms is essential.
- Strong knowledge of GIS (ArcGIS), hydraulic modeling (SWMM, HEC), geotechnical engineering principles, and land surveying techniques.
- Familiarity with construction management practices including scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6), construction estimating tools, and project management methodologies.
- Experience with technical software such as Mathcad for calculations; familiarity with Hydraulics systems design is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret schematics, system designs, technical drawings, and schematics accurately.
- Excellent communication skills for technical writing purposes as well as stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledge of water/wastewater treatment processes and system design principles is preferred.
