Overview
We are currently seeking DSA certified Class 1, Class 2, or HCAI Class A inspectors. ICC Combination CA commercial inspectors also considered.
We are contracted with a major San Diego area university to provide project conformance inspections through 2029. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of construction sites to verify compliance with blueprints, schematics, and contractual specifications.
- Review construction plans and schematics to ensure accurate implementation during various project phases.
- Perform inspections on materials, workmanship, and installed systems to verify conformance with the contract documents.
- Identify potential issues or deviations from design specifications early on and communicate findings clearly to project managers and contractors.
- Document inspection results through detailed reports, photographs, and logs, maintaining accurate records for compliance audits.
- Collaborate with construction management teams to address deficiencies promptly and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in reviewing contracts and technical documents to ensure all work aligns with agreed-upon terms and standards.
- Participate in meetings with stakeholders to discuss inspection findings, project progress, and quality improvement strategies.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, including site operations and construction management principles.
- Proven experience within construction environments
- Excellent analysis skills to evaluate technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately.
- Ability to perform detailed data collection and maintain meticulous records for compliance purposes.
- Familiarity with construction contracts and the ability to interpret technical specifications effectively.
- Hands-on experience with construction site safety protocols and quality control procedures.
- Effective communication skills for reporting inspection results clearly to diverse teams.
- Attention to detail combined with proactive problem-solving abilities to identify issues early. Pay: $65.00 - $95.00 per hour
