Job Summary
Paramint is seeking an Engineering Technology System Analyst to support the Engineering Solutions group at a large public-sector transportation and infrastructure agency. You will be the primary point of contact for engineering applications and project data workflows, working closely with Engineering, Technology, and Cybersecurity to evaluate, deploy, and maintain modern tools and platforms.
This is a part-time (three days per week) role focused on managing key engineering software (Bluebeam, Autodesk, Leica, Esri, etc.), supporting Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) workflows, maintaining Azure-based project data storage, and driving adoption through training, documentation, and internal enablement sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage engineering-specific applications and systems
- Administer and support tools such as Bluebeam Revu, Bluebeam Org Admin Pro, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Revit, Leica Cyclone Enterprise, Base Map Management Service (BMMS), NearMap, and Esri ArcGIS Pro.
- Coordinate software deployments and upgrades
- Plan and oversee rollouts and version updates for Autodesk, Bluebeam, Leica, and related tools.
- Customize application features to meet specific engineering requirements.
- Evaluate emerging software and hardware technologies
- Assess new engineering tools and platforms (e.g., ACC, e-Builder, advanced CAD workstations).
- Collaborate with Technology and Cybersecurity to review requests and prepare written analysis and recommendations for management.
- Maintain documentation and provide staff training
- Maintain and update system documentation and workflows.
- Support onboarding and deliver training sessions to engineering staff on software tools and platforms.
- Troubleshoot and implement minor functional enhancements
- Resolve application-level issues based on support tickets and user feedback.
- Implement minor updates and enhancements to improve usability and performance.
- Support Engineering Virtual Design and Construction (VDC)
- Assist VDC teams with project data management systems and workflows.
- Support storage and handling of 3D scanned point cloud data.
- Manage engineering data in Azure
- Maintain Microsoft Azure storage environments used for engineering project data and archiving.
- Generate usage and license utilization reports
- Produce detailed usage and license utilization reports across engineering-managed software to support budgeting and optimization.
- Lead task planning and coordination
- Translate objectives into actionable tasks, set priorities, and coordinate execution with relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in meetings and internal enablement
- Engage in client and interdepartmental meetings to gather requirements and share updates.
- Deliver internal presentations and workshops to promote best practices and increase awareness of engineering software capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) sector, including:
- Hands-on work on AutoCAD and Revit projects.
- Experience with Navisworks Manage.
- Strong focus on document management systems and project information management.
- Experience supporting Engineering Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) teams and engineering project workflows.
- Engineering data management experience (5+ years) supporting engineering project data workflows, including 3D scanned point cloud data storage systems.
- Proficiency with PDF and markup tools, including:
- Bluebeam Revu (5+ years) for PDF production, markup, and collaboration.
- Adobe Acrobat Pro for document editing and workflows.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Power BI for documentation, reporting, and data visualization.
- Familiarity with Azure Cloud technologies, including:
- Understanding or hands-on experience with applications using Azure Data Lake / Azure storage environments.
- Ability to generate detailed usage and license utilization reports for enterprise software.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; self-driven, able to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration, documentation, and training.
- Ability to work in a hybrid model, including being onsite at 2Montgomery St, Jersey City, NJ 3 days per week.
- Willingness to work as a W2 contractor via Paramint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) license.
- Prior experience in:
- Public-sector transportation, infrastructure, or large capital project environments.
- Large, multi-stakeholder engineering or PMO organizations.
- Experience with:
- e-Builder or other construction/project management platforms.
- Designing and running internal enablement programs, “office hours,” or training for engineering tools.
- Background in roles that combine IT systems analysis with engineering operations.
Work Model & Schedule
- Hybrid: Combination of remote work and onsite presence at 2 Montgomery St, Jersey City, NJ.
- Part-time: Approximately 3 days per week, coordinated with the Project Manager.
- Duration: One-year contract, with potential for extension based on project needs and performance.
