Junior Acquisition Support Specialist Overview The Junior Acquisition Support Specialist provides acquisition planning, documentation development, administrative support, and data analysis. This role supports federal procurement planning, solicitation development, source selection, contract administration, and post-award activities across a wide range of contract types supporting Ready Reserve Force (RRF) vessels, training ships, and fleet requirements.
Key Responsibilities Acquisition Planning & Documentation Development
- Assist in preparing SOWs, SOOs, PWSs, and requirements packages.
- Conduct market research and help with IGCEs.
- Support acquisition strategy development.
Solicitation Support
- Assist in drafting RFQs, RFPs, and solicitation documents.
- Ensure completeness and compliance of acquisition packages.
Evaluation & Source Selection Support
- Prepare evaluation worksheets and documentation.
- Assist with technical and price evaluation activities.
Contract Administration
- Prepare award packages, COR letters, and FPDS-NG/PRISM entries.
- Support modifications, option exercises, and closeout actions.
Data Analysis
- Use Excel lookup functions, pivot tables, and conditional formatting for pricing analysis and reporting.
Systems Support
- Assist personnel with PRISM, FPDS-NG, and SharePoint navigation.
- Support creation of training materials and user guides.
Policy & Compliance
- Assist in research and development of acquisition policy updates.
Required Experience & Credentials
- 5 years Federal contracting experience.
- FAC-C (Professional) or DAWIA Level III.
- Strong organizational, writing, and customer service skills.
Work Expectations
- Daily/weekly deliverables.
- Part Time hours between core work hours 06:30 am – 6:00 pm ET.
- Remote with occasional travel.
