Vice President of Practice Development
Florida Financial Advisors is building an IMO+ platform designed to deliver white-glove service, practice development coaching, and turnkey infrastructure for independent advisors and agency builders. Our mission is to provide financial service professionals with the resources, technology, and support to maximize their growth, autonomy, and long-term success.
The Vice President of Practice Development will serve as a strategic leader and primary liaison for independent advisors, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience, ongoing practice growth support, and a clear value proposition for prospective recruits. This individual will play a dual role in both recruiting high-caliber advisors and delivering practice development services that help advisors build and scale their businesses.
Location: Tampa, FL (travel required)
Responsibilities
· Advisor Recruitment & Growth
o Deliver the firm’s value proposition to prospective advisors, including compensation, technology, compliance, and transition support.
o Conduct discovery calls, identify advisor needs, and design tailored proposals/packages
o Manage the full recruitment process: scheduling calls, leading presentation, coordinating in-office visits, and presenting offers.
o Build strong relationships with advisors and agency builders to expand the firm’s independent and insurance channels.
o Represent the IMO+ platform at industry events, workshops, and monthly information sessions.
o Track and report recruiting and development metrics (calls made, meetings booked, advisors onboarded, production growth)
· Practice Development & Support
o Serve as a point of contact for independent advisors, providing white-glove service from transition through growth
o Partner with onboarding, licensing, contracting, and compliance teams to ensure smooth transitions and Day 1 readiness
o Provide sales desk support including illustrations, proposals, and business planning
o Coordinate with marketing, technology, and operations teams to provide branding, website, and business structure support
Qualifications
· 7+ years of experience in financial services, with a strong background in recruiting, practice development, or business development
· Proven ability to recruit and retain advisors or producers within the insurance, RIA, or Broker Dealer space
· Strong understanding of advisor transition processes, including licensing, compliance, and book-of-business transfers
· Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills
· Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to provide creative solutions for advisor growth
