Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic, team-oriented individual to join our company as a Manufacturing Engineer. This key role involves supporting various aspects of production, including operations, quality, purchasing, and sales. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience in a manufacturing and office environment.
Responsibilities:
Process Optimization: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design, document, and implement innovative manufacturing processes. Enhance existing processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and compliance with standards while facilitating team training.
Equipment Design and Plant Layout: Identify, evaluate, and procure new equipment suited to production needs. Work with suppliers and internal teams to ensure successful installation and integration. Optimize facility layouts to enhance workflow and productivity.
Product Development: Contribute to the design and improvement of current and future products, considering client and organizational needs. Accurately estimate production costs to support pricing strategies and quotations. Identify new suppliers to strengthen the supply chain and collaborate with purchasing to source components and materials.
Quality Management System Support: Leverage your expertise to maintain the integrity of the quality management system.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to optimize process efficiency and product quality.
Required Skills:
- Engineering degree or equivalent (bachelor’s minimum, master’s preferred) in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar manufacturing engineering role.
- Proficiency in creating and modifying Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Experience developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and control plans.
- Ability to create and interpret technical drawings (GD&T knowledge preferred).
- Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or equivalent.
- Experience training production staff in a manufacturing and assembly environment (TIG welding or sheet metal forming skills a plus).
- Knowledge of industry standards such as ASTM, AMS, ANSI, ISO, SAE, MIL, BS-EN, AWS, etc.
