Job Summary

Duties

- Prepare technical reports and documentation utilizing technical writing skills, clearly communicating findings, recommendations, and project progress.
- Coordinate with construction teams, project engineers, and stakeholders to plan and execute maintenance projects efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Utilize engineering analysis tools such as FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and Mathcad to evaluate structural performance and system design under various load conditions.
- Draft detailed drawings and schematics for repair or upgrade projects using CAD platforms like Civil 3D and Revit.
- Oversee geotechnical assessments related to foundation stability and soil conditions impacting bridge safety.
- Manage project management tasks including resource allocation, timeline tracking, risk assessment, and quality control throughout project lifecycle.
- Implement system design improvements that enhance durability and functionality of bridge components.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental policies during all phases of maintenance work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; advanced certifications in structural or geotechnical engineering are preferred.
- Proven experience in project management within civil or structural engineering environments focusing on bridge infrastructure.
- Strong proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, and GIS platforms for drafting and spatial analysis.
- Familiarity with construction processes specific to bridge maintenance including scaffolding, temporary supports, and material handling.
- Experience with technical analysis tools like FEA software (e.g., ANSYS) and Mathcad for system modeling and performance evaluation.
- Knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles relevant to foundation stability assessments.
- Ability to develop detailed project schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
- Excellent technical writing skills for preparing inspection reports, project proposals, and safety documentation.
- Strong drafting skills for creating precise drawings that meet industry standards.
