Tamarix Capital Partners (“TCP”) is a leading provider of debt and equity to support recapitalizations, leverage buyouts, growth capital and corporate restructurings of growing U.S. lower middle market companies. TCP seeks to provide capital to private U.S. based companies with EBITDA between $3 million to $15 million and revenue between $10 million to $100 million.
Role Description
TCP is seeking to hire an Analyst in New York City with a motivated individual looking to be an active part of a nimble, entrepreneurial, team-oriented investment firm. Target start date is during Q1 2026, with flexibility based on candidate availability. Successful candidates will be engaged in a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Research and analysis of potential investment opportunities up and down the capital structure and across a broad range of companies and industries.
- Financial statement analysis and financial modeling of portfolio companies and potential investment opportunities.
- Preparation of investment committee materials and presenting investment opportunities to investment committee.
- Supporting the team in underwriting, documentation, and closing of investment opportunities.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date CRM data on prospective new investments.
- Monitoring portfolio investments and maintaining up-to-date tracking and covenant compliance models and deliverables on monthly and quarterly basis.
- Assisting with ad hoc reporting requirements, NDA execution, and other deal or investor related administrative tasks as needed.
The Analyst will act in a supporting role throughout the investment and portfolio management process. He/she will monitor and maintain a database of new investment pipeline opportunities, participate in new investment due diligence including: conducting analysis and building financial models to project potential financial return scenarios; preparing and/or reviewing comprehensive investment recommendations for consideration by investment committee; and monitor existing investments by providing analytical support, including financial statement analysis, covenant compliance analysis and overall risk and trend analysis.
Qualifications
An ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of total work experience with a preference for backgrounds in private credit, leveraged lending, private equity, investment banking, or commercial banking.
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably with a major in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related financial discipline with an outstanding record of academic achievement.
- Excellent organization, communication, and research skills with the ability to succinctly express and present ideas. Ability to compile, analyze, and present company and industry information.
- Demonstrated experience or a strong passion for investing, financial analysis, and business strategy.
- Financial modeling experience with superior analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and dedicated team player with a strong sense of ownership.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
Compensation: Base salary of $80,000 - $100,000 + performance based bonus.
