Job Title: Process Engineer – Vehicle Operations

Description
Join a team supporting the largest automotive client in the U.S. as a Process Engineer. This role focuses on driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity while supporting machining and assembly operations. You will work closely with production teams to implement engineering solutions and ensure process discipline across all operations.
Responsibilities
- Apply engineering principles to improve manufacturing processes and products
- Develop and maintain process documentation and instruction sheets
- Support daily production meetings and drive engineering actions to improve JPH and FTT
- Lead process audits and ensure compliance with Vehicle Operations guidelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers on tooling improvements, layouts, and prototype machining
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
- 2+ years of related engineering experience
- Strong problem-solving skills (8D, 5Why) and familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
- Experience with FMEA, PPAP, and ergonomic analysis
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Lean tools (5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, Value Stream Mapping)
- Experience with DMAIC, DMADV, TQM, and Kaizen methods
- Ability to manage tooling projects and coordinate with external suppliers
