Fisch Group is a rapidly growing fractional CFO and financial operations firm supporting food & beverage brands, hospitality concepts, and businesses with brick-and-mortar locations. We bring structure, clarity, and financial rigor to scaling companies — from early-stage startups, to rapidly growing wine & spirits brands, to multi-location operators.
We’re looking for a Finance Associate who is motivated, proactive, and excited to grow with us. This is a client-facing role supporting budgeting, forecasting, accounting oversight, and financial analysis. You’ll work directly with Fractional CFOs and client leadership teams and play a meaningful part in improving financial operations, reporting, and strategic decision-making.
This role begins as a part-time opportunity (15–25 hours per week) with the potential to grow into a full-time position and, for the right candidate, a future Fractional CFO role.

Ad-Hoc Financial Analysis
- Assist with special projects including modeling, pro forma development, scenario planning, cost structure reviews, and operational analytics.
- Build templates, tools, and frameworks that can scale across multiple clients.
Collaboration & Team Leadership
- Work alongside a 10-person team including Fractional CFOs, payroll/payables managers, bookkeepers, HR, and a controller.
- Over time, help oversee junior support roles and delegate accounting tasks.
- Participate in internal process improvement initiatives to strengthen our finance operations and client delivery model.

We use a range of financial systems across clients and will train you on them. Examples include:

- Airtable, Monday, or other PM tools (varies by client)
Schedule & Location
- Hybrid: 1 onsite day per week at a WeWork in Jersey City or downtown Manhattan.
- Remaining hours flexible and remote throughout the week.
- Expected commitment: 20–25 hours/week to start, with the goal of bringing to full time as responsibilities expand.
Compensation
- $5,000 per month to start
- Opportunity for increased compensation and expanded responsibilities as client demand grows
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- Strong financial modeling and Excel/Sheets skills
- Clear communicator — comfortable in client meetings and presenting financials
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple clients
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting platforms preferred
- CPA is a plus, but not required
- Food & beverage and/or hospitality experience is a plus, but not required
