The Product Development Engineer will support the seamless transition of new products from design to production by ensuring they can be manufactured efficiently, cost-effectively and to specification. This role is NOT remote and does not offer relocation to Temple, TX.
Key Skills & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product designers and cross-functional teams.
- Review and provide feedback on product designs to ensure they are manufacturable and cost-effective.
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, layouts, and workflows for new products.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, procedures, processes and drawings.
- Assist in the development of tooling, fixtures, and quality control procedures.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and support the implementation of corrective actions.
- Design collaboration: Attend design reviews and work with product development teams to ensure new designs are practical for manufacturing.
- Process development: Design, develop, and implement efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes for new products.
- Documentation: Generate necessary documentation, including Bill of Materials (BOMs), assembly procedures, work instructions, and technical drawings.
- Quality control: Help establish quality control procedures for new products to ensure they meet specifications.
- Troubleshooting: Support the production team by troubleshooting problems that arise during the new product launch and initial production phases.
- Equipment and tooling: Assist in the selection, specification, and integration of new machinery and tooling required for production.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Understanding of manufacturing principles and processes.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
