A leading alternative asset manager, is seeking an Associate to join its Capital Markets team in Philadelphia. This group serves as the financing engine for the firm, focused on structuring and executing transactions that provide leverage for sponsored funds. The team manages over $25 billion in liabilities across funds investing in private credit, traded credit, private equity solutions, and real estate.
Role Overview
As an Associate, you will play a key role in the execution, analysis, and review of complex financing transactions, including:
- Private placements
- Bond offerings
- Structured credit facilities
- Bilateral bank facilities
- Warehouse facilities
- Securitizations
You will also gain exposure to a wide range of transaction structures, such as:
- Joint ventures
- Asset-based lending arrangements
- Total return swaps
- Repurchase agreements
- Prime brokerage arrangements
- Securitizations (MM CLOs, CRE CLOs, BSL CLOs)
This role offers long-term experience in relationship management and negotiations with rating agencies, banks, and institutional investors.
Key Responsibilities
- Build advanced financial models for rating analysis, deal pricing, and structuring.
- Conduct peer capital structure analysis and review rating agency methodologies.
- Coordinate due diligence across internal teams (legal, operations, portfolio management).
- Prepare liability management plans and forecasts for multiple funds.
- Develop marketing materials for transactions and strategic initiatives.
- Review detailed term sheets and deal documentation.
- Manage transaction timelines and deliverables, ensuring smooth execution.
Ideal Candidate
- 2-3 years of experience in lender finance, investment banking, securitization, or debt capital markets.
- Advanced Excel modeling and strong PowerPoint skills.
- Degree in finance, engineering, math, statistics, or computer science preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and thrives under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of financial markets and credit markets is a plus.
