Manage all aspects of software development, including implemented, planned, and proposed functionalities as well as system defect remediation.
Oversee and safeguard the integrity, organization, and security of the software source code library.
Lead, mentor, and guide the application development team through designing, coding, testing, configuration, research, and system analysis.
Serve as the key liaison to communicate State specifications and requirements to development teams.
Develop and maintain technical system configuration documentation to ensure transparency and long-term maintainability.
Monitor project timelines and ensure development activities are completed on schedule in alignment with project deadlines.
Collaborate with system testers to validate that development outputs are secure, high quality, and free from defects.
Support system-level troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization.
Drive effective software development practices in a distributed technical environment.
Oversee the implementation of modern Graphical User Interface (GUI) designs to improve usability and user experience.
Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with development activities.
Enforce and champion SDLC best practices across all development work.
Perform additional duties as required to ensure the successful delivery and maintenance of software solutions.
Five (5) years of experience performing high-level systems analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and implementation of complex applications.
Three (3) years of experience as a Lead Developer overseeing mixed contractor and public-sector teams on a public-sector IT project.
Five (5) years of experience participating in and leading all phases of application development, including planning, analysis, evaluation, integration, testing, and acceptance.
Five (5) years of experience reviewing detailed specifications (user stories, functional/non-functional requirements, Interface Control Documents) for implementation or configuration.
Five (5) years of experience working with DevOps methodologies.
