Systems Administrator / Infrastructure Administrator Direct Hire | Full-Time | Monday–Friday Hudson Valley, NY (Occasional Travel to Local Sites) We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator / Infrastructure Administrator to support and maintain enterprise-level server, storage, database, and network infrastructure within a complex Windows and Linux environment. This direct-hire role is critical to ensuring system reliability, security, and long-term infrastructure scalability.
This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong systems professional who enjoys hands-on administration while contributing to infrastructure strategy and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux systems
- Provision, deploy, and monitor virtual servers using VMware vSphere and/or Hyper-V
- Administer Active Directory, including users, groups, OUs, and Group Policy management
- Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments
- Support and manage enterprise systems including email platforms, backup and disaster recovery solutions, endpoint security (EDR), and SIEM tools
- Implement and support disaster recovery, incident response, and business continuity plans
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security across the infrastructure
- Research, evaluate, and recommend hardware, software, and infrastructure solutions to meet current and future business needs
- Create and maintain technical documentation and infrastructure standards
Qualifications & Technical Experience
- Hands-on experience administering Windows Server and Linux in an enterprise environment
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere or Hyper-V
- Microsoft SQL Server administration experience
- Familiarity with backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring tools
- Understanding of enterprise networking concepts and infrastructure
- Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages preferred
- Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and planning skills
