Our client, in the financial services industry, is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to join their team.
Job Title: Data Governance Analyst
Location: 5 days per week in office - downtown Denver or downtown Chicago
Pay Range: $59.85/hour W2
What’s the Job?
This role ensures that data used in a major ServiceNow project is accurate, well-documented, compliant, and risk-managed by leading governance processes, validating data requests, and maintaining metadata and lineage.
- A detail-oriented data governance specialist who ensures data is accurate, documented, compliant, and risk-managed across the enterprise.
- Data Governance Expertise: Knows how to manage and enforce data policies, standards, and compliance.
- Metadata Management: Can maintain data dictionaries, catalogs, lineage, and metadata accurately.
- Risk & Compliance Knowledge: Understands data-related risks and regulatory requirements in financial institutions.
- Technical Analysis: Able to validate data requests and ensure proper use of critical data elements.
- Collaboration Skills: Works well with data owners, architects, engineers, and consumers to document and align data needs.
- Tool Proficiency: Comfortable with metadata tools, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and ideally JIRA.
- Process Design: Can create clear process flows and diagrams.
- Soft Skills: Highly organized, detail-oriented, strong communicator, and self-driven.
