Starting Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000; depending on experience

Position Overview:
Responsible for testing, implementing, and training on current and emerging technologies, software, and processes that enhance UMC’s Manufacturing Department and support future growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the deployment and maintenance of programs used in the Manufacturing Department, including but not limited to:
- Revit
- FAB-MEP
- Navisworks
- Revizto
- Flypaper Sherlock
- Stratus
- AR/VR/MR Technologies
- Dynamo
- BIM360 products
- Trackvia
- TigerStop
- DADO
- VICTools
- Collaborate with the Virtual Construction (VC) Operations Manager and Director of Manufacturing on selecting and testing new programs and equipment.
- Troubleshoot technical issues within the Manufacturing Department as they arise.
- Partner with the IT Department to coordinate deployment and updates for current software programs.
- Beta test new programs and provide recommendations prior to deployment.
- Train current and new staff on existing software and new technologies adopted by the department.
- Regularly meet with the VC Operations Manager and Director of Manufacturing to provide updates and propose new solutions.
- Identify and recommend improvements to existing processes and programs.
- Oversee the integration of software, hardware, and tooling between the fabrication shop and Virtual Construction systems.
- Document all processes, training procedures, and program implementations.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Generate and analyze reports on program effectiveness and share insights with Manufacturing leadership.
- Research new technologies and methods to improve modeling and fabrication efficiency.
- Recommend new tools or discontinue existing ones if they are no longer effective.
- Build relationships with peer companies to gain insight into industry best practices.
- Help form a technology peer group to exchange ideas and evaluate new tools.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency with AutoCAD 2018 or later, Fabrication CADmep, Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk BIM 360 products.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and key applications, including:
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Microsoft Teams
- Bluebeam Revu
- Solid understanding of construction industry practices.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Two or more years of formal AutoCAD training from a technical school or community college; or
- Six or more years of relevant on-the-job experience.
Required Licensing and Other Certifications:
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
