Social Media Content Strategist (Full-Time)About the Role
We are a privately owned, business-to-business company seeking an experienced Social Media Content Strategist to take full ownership of our social media presence. This role is responsible for translating company messaging and business objectives into clear, audience-relevant content across multiple platforms.
This is an execution-focused position. The ideal candidate is highly organized, deadline-driven, and able to operate independently while working within defined messaging and brand guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the social media content calendar from planning through publication
- Translate company messaging, positioning, and campaign goals into clear, audience-first social content
- Develop, produce, and publish original content across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Reels
- Create short-form and long-form video content aligned with brand voice and strategic direction
- Edit videos using Adobe Premiere or comparable tools
- Publish and schedule website blog content in coordination with broader campaigns
- Manage brand reputation across social platforms, including responding to comments, messages, and inquiries
- Analyze performance metrics and adjust content strategy based on results
- Maintain organized documentation of content calendars, creative plans, and performance summaries
- Accept feedback and direction and implement revisions efficiently and professionally
- Coordinate on-site content capture and testimonials when required
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional experience managing social media for a brand or business
- Demonstrated ability to independently plan, execute, and publish content on schedule
- Proven experience translating business messaging into audience-relevant content
- Strong understanding of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Reels
- Experience with social media management tools (HubSpot, Loomly, or similar)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (video editing required)
- Experience using analytics to evaluate and improve content performance
- Solid understanding of SEO principles and content optimization
- Experience working with WordPress
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to separate personal creative preferences from brand and audience needs
- Comfortable working within defined messaging frameworks and creative direction
- Willingness to travel occasionally for content capture
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Portfolio required (links preferred)
