The City of Owensboro Finance department is seeking an experienced, well-organized, customer-service oriented person to join our team as Occupational Revenue Clerk. Starting pay $27.0201/hr.

This is a professional position which may be assigned to any one or more of the following:
- Collecting tax revenue from the public;
- Obtaining financial data to maintain accounting records;
- Performing clerical/bookkeeping duties;
- Processing mail;
- Filing invoices.
As assigned, work may also involve:
- Processing account payables;
- Verifying and posting transaction details;
- Computing and recording charges, refunds, and other items;
- Preparing/reconciling reports, statements, and other records/documents;
- Distributing tax information to the public;
- Performing data entry;
- Answering phones;
- Typing;
- Filing;
- Producing spreadsheets;
- Providing excellent customer service to the public
QUALIFICATIONS (Required at time of application):
- Associates Degree in Accounting or other closely related field.
- Valid driver's license required
- Equivalent amount of education and/or experience is acceptable.
