Summit is seeking a remote only, part-time, experienced Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) to join our team. We will hire the right candidate immediately and work will start as soon as possible. This individual may be located anywhere in the U.S.A.
This position is 100% remote and requires roughly 8-15 hours per week of support. We are open to work with candidates that have ongoing responsibilities elsewhere (another job or other Clients) as long as no conflicts are identified. This position will work in conjunction with a more junior Industrial Hygienist who will be performing all onsite work at Client sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Industrial Hygiene and Safety Proposals and Projects, including technical scoping and pricing.
- Direct internal staff and subcontractors on IH and Safety projects.
- Oversee exposure assessments (chemical, physical, and biological) and indoor air quality investigations.
- Help develop clear and defensible technical reports with recommendations mapped to OSHA requirements.
- Interface directly with Clients, providing expert consultation and building long-term relationships.
- Step in as needed for Safety and IH consulting projects.
- Ensure strict attention to detail and quality in technical writing, data interpretation, and compliance documentation.
- Review technical reports produced by others.
- Maintain flexibility to work on highly variable projects, Clients, and environments.
Qualifications
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) qualification is required.
- Advanced degree in Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, Toxicology, or related field is required.
- Minimum 8+ years of diverse industrial hygiene experience including sampling plan development, hands-on performance of exposure assessments, and development of technical reports.
Pay: $70.00 per hour
