Job Summary
Join an elite, highly skilled team that specializes in designing and building custom powder handling products for the pharmaceutical industry. Our products are used worldwide to safely, reliably, and efficiently manufacture life-saving medicines.
The primary role of this position is to design and validate machines and custom mechanical systems for an assigned product group. These machines may be built either at our manufacturing facility or by third-party suppliers. Design Engineers will occasionally assist other product groups with their design and validation needs. The type and complexity of machines will vary depending on each project's requirements, but all machines and systems must be designed in detail using 3-D modeling to meet project specifications.
Our shop is in the same building as our office space, so you can watch your designs come to life 50 steps from your desk at the hands of some of the best fabricators and technicians in the area.
Responsibilities
- Work with design team resources and product group Lead Design Engineer(s) to develop machine and system concepts
- Research new technologies, industry processes, and relevant compliance regulations/guidelines
- Conduct design feasibility reviews
- Spec components and build a bill of materials for complex machine assemblies
- Assemble system design drawings
- Perform simple FEA analysis on structural assemblies
- Work with theoretical calculation tools to determine static and dynamic force requirements
- Conduct design review meetings
- Assemble detailed assembly, weldment, and part drawings
- Draft and assemble project documentation packages (operator's manual, etc.)
- Support the Product Manager in product specific initiatives such as improved functionality and cost reduction
- Conduct client review meetings to assess product utility and customer feedback
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field Proven track record of successfully delivering design projects from concept to completion Strong analytical mindset with the ability to balance creative design thinking with practical engineering constraints

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs
- 3-5 years of Design Engineering experience
- 2-5 years of CAD Experience (Autodesk Inventor is preferred)
- From Scratch EDP Experience

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
