Job Title: Graphic Designer

Weekly Hours: Hourly 25-38 hours per week (overtime must be approved)
Compensation: $22 - $27 per hour + commission on electronic & design sales + bonus

KB Electronics is an electronics store designed to help small communities get the electronics they need without having to drive long distances or order online.
About the role:
Graphic designers are a crucial piece of the puzzle at KB Designs and KB Electronics. The designer is the one who produces the end product for KB Designs. These people need to be able to communicate with clients efficiently to get the necessary info to complete designs which includes meeting with business owners, board directors and the like. Graphic Designers will also give their input on marketing projects when design elements of various kinds are being decided on. Social Media posting is part of this job as well but is secondary when compared to Social Media Agents.
This role (as well as social media agents and video editors) are also responsible for helping customers when they come into KB Electronics. They will help with the selection of products if necessary, and will process payments in the POS. Graphic designers are the backbone of KB Enterprises. They will also help customers and prospects become clients by selling them service plans and design packages when appropriate. KB Enterprises doesn’t believe in aggressive sales practices, so if it makes sense, sell it, if it doesn’t, don’t.
Currently, this role reports directly to ownership. Once the company becomes large enough, this role will report to lead designers and general managers.
Responsibilities:
- Simple and complex logo design
- Website design
- Social media posting
- Processing payments
- Selling design packages and service plans
- Selling electronics
- Meet with clients
- Answering phone calls and emails
- Completing service requests
- Taking pictures and video of products for online stores
- Marketing strategy as it relates to design projects
Candidate Requirements:
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
- No official design experience is required, but you must be able to demonstrate sufficient design knowledge and skill.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the country.
Possible advancement opportunities:
- Lead Designer
- This role will be responsible for multiple designers and Social Media Agents.
- General Manager:
- This role will oversee the operations of an entire store. This includes the operations of KB Designs and KB Electronics
- Developer:
- At some point KB Designs is going to need to develop sites and apps, not just design them. I will be hiring developers to build these custom sites and apps. Designers with knowledge of coding will be given the opportunity to apply for these jobs when they become available.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
