Associate Sales Representative (Hybrid: New Era Surgical × Beacon Surgical)
This is a full-time, on-site hybrid role based in the San Diego Metropolitan Area, supporting both New Era Surgical (navigation and clinical case support) and Beacon Surgical (spine implant distribution).
The Associate Sales Representative will play a critical, hands-on role in supporting spine surgeons, hospital staff, and senior sales leadership across the full continuum of care—from intraoperative navigation and technical support to implant logistics and sales execution.
This position is designed for a high-potential individual who wants deep exposure to spine surgery, advanced navigation technologies, and distributor-level sales operations. The role blends clinical execution, relationship development, and commercial growth, serving as a training ground for a future full-line spine sales representative or territory manager.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Navigation Support (New Era Surgical)
• Provide real-time technical and workflow support during complex spine procedures utilizing advanced navigation systems
• Assist with OR setup, equipment readiness, and intraoperative navigation execution
• Serve as a trusted in-room resource for surgeons, fellows, and OR staff
• Collaborate with senior clinical specialists to ensure consistency, accuracy, and efficiency across cases
Sales & Distributor Support (Beacon Surgical)
• Support senior sales representatives with spine implant cases, instrumentation logistics, and case coverage
• Assist with inventory management, tray preparation, and post-case reconciliation
• Participate in surgeon account support, relationship building, and case follow-up
• Help identify growth opportunities within existing hospital systems and surgeon accounts
Account & Relationship Development
• Build strong, professional relationships with surgeons, residents, fellows, and hospital staff
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and composure in high-pressure OR environments
• Act as an extension of both companies’ brands, culture, and standards of excellence
Qualifications
Required / Preferred Experience
• 1–3+ years of experience in medical device sales, surgical support, clinical specialist roles, or healthcare-adjacent environments (preferred)
• Prior exposure to spine surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, or complex procedural environments strongly preferred
• Experience working in an operating room (OR) or procedural suite is highly desirable
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Kinesiology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field preferred
