An automotive parts manufacturer near the Lawrence, IN area is looking for a 2nd shift Production Engineer. The ideal candidate will have SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD experience along with hands-on CNC experience. Preferably within an industrial environment.
This is a full-time position with excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401 (K), paid holidays & vacation.
In addition to salary – you will be paid straight OT for any time worked over 40 hours
Responsibilities:
· Establish standards for installation, modification, testing, operation, and inspection of equipment
· Coordinate new design and modification requirements for the facility
· Assist in root cause analysis & implementing solution
· Prepare bid sheets, print layouts, and contracts
· Test new machines and equipment
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
· Must have experience using AutoCAD or SolidWorks
· At least 1 year of hands-on machining experience
· Experience with Cost reduction and process improvement
· Able to intermittently sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch & lift up to 30 pounds
