Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Welding Engineer to join our team and drive excellence in welding processes, quality assurance, and system design. Responsibilities:
- Use software such as MS Office, SolidWorks, ERP to perform engineering, cost, scheduling, and report writing tasks.
- Develop WPS welding procedures for various components based on MIL-STD 278.
- Work closely with Sales Estimators to help understand welding requirements & time required for RFQ’s.
- Work closely with production managers, ensuring successful completion of production processess.
- Set up welding qualification tests and interpret the results including inspecting weld samples and/or working with non-destructive test (NDT) personnel to interpret weld quality.
- Keep Welder qualifications updated and current as required.
- Design, develop and implement tooling for use in a manufacturing environment.
- Identify, plan and execute capital equipment, machine and layout upgrades to meet manufacturing demand.
- Evaluate manufacturing equipment capabilities and lead capital equipment justification and procurement.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 15 Years experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor or master’s degree in Weld Engineering.
- Familiar with Mild Steel, High Carbon alloys, aluminum alloys, nickel alloys, Hy-80, HY-100, Titanium.
- Familiar with heat treating of the materials above and how that may change or restrict the ability to weld & or machine.
- Solid Works and or CAD design experience.
- Working knowledge of 1st Article requirements, MIL-STD-278, ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, NDT requirements.
- Knowledge of machining & manufacturing processes.
- High level of safety awareness in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Quality requirements and workflow.
- Root cause identification through data analysis.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
