Job Description
EarthCam is seeking an entry-level Junior Data Scientist to join our AI & R&D team at our headquarters. This role is ideal for a motivated early-career professional who is passionate about analytics, machine learning, and turning data into actionable insights. You will support the development of dashboards, data pipelines, and analytical models that power our products and internal decision-making, while learning directly from senior data scientists and engineers.
Responsibilities
- Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and validation across multiple data sources
- Build and maintain analytics dashboards and reports (Power BI or similar)
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
- Support development and testing of machine learning and deep learning models
- Assist with Python and SQL-based data pipelines and automation
- Collaborate with AI, engineering, and product teams on data-driven initiatives
- Document methodologies, experiments, and results
- Participate in model evaluation, performance tracking, and continuous improvement
Requirements

- Analytical thinker with attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Curious about AI, machine learning, and real-world applications of data
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced R&D environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field
- Strong foundation in Python and SQL
- Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools
- Familiarity with PyTorch and Git
- Understanding of machine learning fundamentals; exposure to deep learning and NLP is a plus
- Knowledge of MATLAB or R is a plus
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
