Position Overview: The Staff Accountant supports the Controller, Finance, with a wide variety of functions which include transactional processing, financial analysis, annual budget development and monitoring, cost allocation, annual audit support and the implementation of financial and compliance controls. The Staff Accountant serves as a key resource for the organization and provides daily support to ensure that the financial records are complete, accurate and comply with generally accepted accounting principles, policies, and regulations.

Salary Range: $72,000 - $85,000
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Reviews invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Process vendor and expense report payments
- Cash reconciliations
- Process year-end 1099 reports as required for vendors
- Maintains accounts payable filing system and general ledger
- Completes month/year-end close duties as assigned
- Performs other accounting functions as assigned
- Assists in the preparation of management reports and accompanying schedules
- Assists with the preparation of annual financial statements and external audit
- Conforms with all internal policies & procedures
- Documents policies, procedures, and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility
- Contributes to department and organization special projects, as assigned
- Process monthly billings for Airlines and other tenants
- Audits and records concessionaires' monthly sales reports
Minimum Qualifications
Education, Training, and Experience
- BA/BS in Accounting or Finance; CPA desirable, not required
- 2-3 years of accounting experience

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Generally accepted accounting theories, principles, methods, practices, and terminology
- Techniques commonly used in locating errors in accounting records
- Generally accepted auditing principles, procedures, and practices
- The ability to collect and organize accounting data, interpret its significance, and prepare accurate financial reports.
- The ability to present accounting data in a clear and understandable manner to both technical and non-technical users.
- The ability to solve difficult and complex accounting and related financial problems.
