Role Description
This is an on-site, full-time Associate Designer role based in New York, NY. The Associate Designer will collaborate with the design team to develop new products and refine existing designs while maintaining R13's unique brand aesthetic. Responsibilities include conducting research on design trends, creating sketches and technical drawings, selecting materials, and assisting in product development. Additional tasks involve coordinating with production teams, ensuring design accuracy, and maintaining quality standards throughout the development process.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in design principles, sketching, and technical drawing
- Experience in material selection and product development processes
- Strong understanding of fashion trends and the luxury market
- Familiarity with software tools used in design and production for fashion
- Excellent organizational and project coordination skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Prior experience in the fashion industry, preferably with denim and/or luxury brands
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field
- Attention to detail and a strong passion for design and craftsmanship
