Atria Books and Primero Sueño Press are seeking a Marketing Assistant to work on publications in both English and Spanish. This role will report to the Atria Marketing Director and Associate Director of Publicity & Marketing. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn all aspects of book publishing with a focus on both the English and Spanish language markets.
The right candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish, and must be proficient in speaking and writing across both languages.
Responsibilities include creating/translating press materials and advertising copy, booking author tour travel, author schedule upkeep, researching contacts, pitching media, preparing and scheduling social media, digital marketing strategy, bookseller/librarian outreach (print and digital mailings) and consumer outreach (goodreads giveaways, netgalley, etc.), content marketing, academic marketing, as well as a number of important administrative duties like routing distros, maintaining budget grids, and coordinating the Atria influencer program. Candidates must be passionate about reading, eager to learn about media relations and marketing, supremely detail-oriented, creative, possess strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish, capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Excel, Google docs, PowerPoint, Canva, social media platforms, as well as general computer skills.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies.
