Job Title: Event Coordinator/Business Development
Priv is the leading provider of on-demand beauty and wellness services in the U.S., delivering beauty and wellness professionals straight to your door, for hairstyling, makeup, massage, nail, facial, ear piercing, spray tan, and fitness services. We currently serve 32 markets in the United States. Our events team provides corporate clients with the opportunity to bring those services to their events.
Job Description:
The Event Coordinator is a vital role within the organization, responsible for ensuring all events are staffed with the right professionals for the job. This role involves overseeing day-to-day logistics of filling events, handling questions from professionals, and implementing strategies to ensure the clients’ and professionals’ satisfaction. The Event Coordinator reports to our Senior Business Development Manager and collaborates with various departments to ensure the seamless execution of events and uphold the company's reputation. This person is the go-to person for all professionals in relation to events.
Key Responsibilities:
· Fill all events with reliable and experienced event professionals, ensuring that professionals understand all the details related to the event.
· Ensure any last-minute cancellations by pros are filled quickly and with limited disruption to the event. This includes day-of cancellations and involves being available during all events.
· Develop and maintain an event handbook to ensure professionals understand event protocol and train new event pros on Priv event expectations.
· Conduct events calls for larger events.
· Handle issues, complaints, pay and reimbursement requests from pros post-event and coordinate with payroll manager.
· Maintain a relationship and open communication with event professionals to understand ways we can improve events, receive feedback and share positive experiences and photos with the Priv team.
· Maintain a database of reliable and trusted event professionals in each market.
· Actively recruit new professionals in anticipation of the need for event professionals in current and new markets.
· Assist in business development outreach for new business development opportunities as needed, including interfacing with clients.
Communication and Collaboration:
Participate in cross-functional meetings to share customer insights and contribute to the overall customer experience strategy.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Industry knowledge in the beauty industry – specifically hair and makeup, is a plus.
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
· Ability to handle stressful situations and resolve conflicts.
· Strong Excel, Word, Google Sheets and Google Doc skills
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· A customer-centric mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
· Experience in training and developing team members.
· This is a full-time remote position, with occasional need to attend events if near location.
