Principal AI Solutions Engineer
About the Role
The Principal, Applied AI & Intelligent Systems will establish and scale enterprise AI capabilities, reporting directly to the CIO. As the company’s first dedicated AI leader, this role will define the roadmap, set technical standards, and drive measurable business impact within the first 3–9 months.
This is a hands-on position for a senior technologist who thrives in ambiguity and ownership. Acting as the bridge between business strategy and technical execution, this role will shape how AI is adopted, governed, and leveraged across the organization while delivering tangible operational and revenue performance gains.
Responsibilities
· Identify and prioritize high-impact AI initiatives across voice systems, legal workflows, and enterprise platforms with a clear 3–9 month ROI mandate.
· Architect, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions including call intelligence, workflow automation, document analysis, and structured data extraction.
· Design and implement secure integrations across VOIP, CRM, case management, Copilot, and Harvey AI platforms using APIs and modern automation frameworks.
· Rapidly prototype, test, and productionize AI use cases, moving efficiently from concept to measurable business impact.
· Establish technical standards, governance frameworks, and security controls for responsible AI adoption in partnership with IT and compliance teams.
· Translate business needs from Legal, Intake, Operations, and Executive leadership into scalable AI-enabled systems.
· Monitor performance of deployed AI solutions, optimize models and workflows, and continuously improve efficiency, conversion, and cost outcomes.
· Document architecture and best practices while enabling internal stakeholders to adopt and scale AI-driven capabilities effectively.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
· 8+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated ownership of production systems and enterprise integrations.
· Proven experience building and deploying applied AI solutions using LLM APIs, automation frameworks, and modern backend architectures.
· Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, C#, or similar) and experience designing secure, scalable APIs and microservices.
· Hands-on experience integrating VOIP, CRM, or workflow platforms using APIs, webhooks, and cloud-based infrastructure.
· Deep understanding of data security, governance, and compliance considerations when deploying AI in regulated environments.
