Business Operations Analyst (Confidential) — Data Center Development
Austin, TX | Full-time
An early-stage, institutionally backed data center developer in Austin is hiring a Business Operations Analyst to work directly with the Founder/Chief Commercial Officer. The team has an attractive set of initial sites and secured utility power, and is building next-generation facilities for hyperscalers, enterprise customers, and AI-driven demand.
Why this hire is unusually strategic;
This is not a “support” role, it’s a force-multiplier role. You’ll help build the operating rhythm and lightweight systems that allow the leadership team to scale commercial execution, hiring, and external communications without things slipping. The trackers, materials, and processes you create will become part of the company’s core operating backbone as the platform grows.
What you’ll own (high-impact, generalist scope)
Commercial pipeline visibility
- Create a single source of truth for prospects/partners/investors (status, owner, next steps)
- Turn scattered notes/emails into an actionable pipeline, flagging stalled items early
- Produce weekly pipeline summaries and leadership-ready talking points for internal/board updates
Market-ready materials
- Convert rough notes and older decks into polished customer/investor-facing content
- Keep messaging current across one-pagers, web content, case studies, and event materials
- Prepare meeting agendas/pre-reads and ensure follow-ups are tracked to completion
Hiring operations
- Run day-to-day recruiting logistics: candidate pipeline, scheduling, scorecards, candidate experience
- Help refine role definitions, interview loops, and lightweight onboarding plans
- Maintain visibility into open roles and upcoming needs; surface bottlenecks quickly
Operating systems + special projects
- Build simple trackers, templates, and dashboards across deals, hiring, and marketing touchpoints
- Drive ad-hoc projects end-to-end (market scans, vendor comparisons, board slides, conference prep)
What they’re looking for
- 1–2 years in investment banking, top-tier consulting, or a demanding analyst/generalist role in a high-growth environment
- Strong ability to structure ambiguous problems and drive to outcomes without heavy direction
- Excellent writing + deck-building skills (executive-ready output)
- Comfort moving across commercial, recruiting, marketing, and ops in the same week
- High ownership, low ego, highly dependable
Why join
- Ground-floor seat in the AI/data center infrastructure build-out
- Direct daily partnership with a founder (real exposure to deals, hiring, and board-level execution)
- Competitive compensation with meaningful equity upside
- Strong benefits (including 100% employer-paid medical premiums)
