Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable, organized, and customer-focused Showroom Administrator / Design Assistant to join our team Monday through Friday.
This role combines showroom administration, customer service, and design support. The ideal candidate has a design background, is comfortable working with customers on material selections, and can support remodeling projects using 2020 Design software, SketchUp, or CAD tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and manage incoming phone calls
- Schedule appointments, consultations, and meetings
- Assist with ordering materials and products
- Track orders and follow up on delivery status
- Help maintain and update job schedules
- Provide excellent customer service in person, by phone, and by email
- Assist customers with material selections (cabinets, countertops, tile, fixtures, finishes, etc.)
- Support design projects by creating layouts using SketchUp, CAD software, or 2020 Design tools
- Assist customers with design ideas and remodeling selections based on their needs and budget
- Collaborate with clients to understand their remodeling goals, preferences, and budgets to help provide tailored solutions
- Maintain showroom organization through merchandising, stocking, cleaning, and ensuring displays are attractive and functional
- Support marketing efforts by promoting new products/services through social media and/or in-store promotions
- Support the design team with updates, revisions, and customer follow-up as needed
Required Qualifications
- Experience in showroom administration, office coordination, or customer-facing showroom sales
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Design background required (kitchen/bath/interior design preferred)
- 2020 Design software experience required
- Ability to assist customers with design concepts and material selections
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, friendly, and team-oriented attitude
- Basic math skills for measurements, pricing calculations, and general retail math accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales, high-end sales, or inside sales within the renovation, remodeling, or construction industry
- Proficiency in layout/design software such as SketchUp or CAD (in addition to 2020 Design)
- Knowledge of remodeling processes, construction practices, interior design principles, and maintenance considerations
- Multilingual abilities (highly desirable to support diverse client needs)
- Kitchen & bath showroom experience is a strong plus
Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
