Position Overview
Next World is seeking an Investment Analyst to join its San Francisco–based investment team. The Investment Analyst will work closely with senior team members in the U.S. and Europe, gaining experience across Next World’s integrated capital organization. The Investment Analyst will be primarily focused on active portfolio management and exit planning for portfolio companies.
Next World follows an in-office workplace model. Candidates who are not currently residing in the Bay Area will be expected to relocate.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the management of direct investments, including engagement at both the board and management levels to help drive equity value creation
• Contribute to ongoing fund investment management and monitoring
• Assist in quarterly valuation processes for direct, fund, and co-investments
• Support the strategic review and refinement of investment strategy across Next World’s platforms
• Build and maintain financial models and valuation analyses
• Conduct industry and market research and help formulate investment theses
• Participate in all phases of the investment process, including sourcing, screening, diligence, and execution of direct, co-investment, and fund opportunities
• Prepare investment committee materials and other presentations for internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree from a top university
• 1+ years of experience in investment banking, financial advisory, consulting, or asset management
• High degree of intellectual curiosity, initiative, and integrity
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint and AI agents
• Experience or demonstrated interest in international markets and impact/ESG a plus
• Proficiency in French preferred
Compensation: $150,000-$170,000 (Salary + Bonus)
