Architectural Designer — Luxury Residential
Mainstreet Design Build, a boutique design studio specializing in high-end residential architecture and interiors, is seeking an Architectural Designer with exceptional Chief Architect proficiency and a strong grasp of luxury interior design principles. Based in Birmingham, our work emphasizes timeless design, refined detailing, and thoughtful, client-driven solutions.
This role is ideal for a designer who appreciates elevated materials, precise documentation, and the seamless integration of architecture and interiors.
What You’ll Do
- Produce detailed floor plans and 3D models using Chief Architect (required)
- Apply strong interior design judgment to finishes, materials, fixtures, and spatial proportions
- Create presentation-quality drawings and visuals for discerning clients
- Collaborate closely with principals and the drafting team throughout the design phase
- Support revisions with a high level of accuracy and polish
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field
- Demonstrated expertise in Chief Architect
- Strong understanding of luxury interior design principles, including scale, balance, material selection, and detailing
- Experience with high-end residential or custom home projects
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Professional communication style and a collaborative, client-focused mindset
Nice to Have
- Experience with custom millwork, cabinetry, and bespoke detailing
- Familiarity with luxury residential construction standards
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or SketchUp
- Experience with complex exterior architecture
