Hybrid – Baltimore, MD (1 Week Onsite Per Month Required)

We are seeking a highly capable SharePoint / Content Management System Architect to support a large-scale enterprise web and collaboration environment, including modernization and CMS migration initiatives.
This role requires architectural leadership, strong hands-on technical depth, and production troubleshooting expertise.
This is not an entry-level or administrative role.

Employment Structure
- W2 only
- No C2C
- No third-party submissions
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship requirements
Location Requirement (Non-Negotiable)
- Hybrid – Baltimore City, MD
- 40% onsite
- Minimum one full week onsite per month
- Additional onsite presence required during system rollouts
- Local candidates strongly preferred
- Out-of-area candidates must be willing to relocate at their own expense
Background Requirement
All selected candidates will be subject to a State background investigation as a condition of employment.
Required Qualifications (Must Meet All)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field (required)
Experience
- 10+ years designing and implementing IT application systems
- 6+ years designing enterprise-level SharePoint or CMS platforms
- Served as architecture lead on at least one major implementation
- Experience supporting public-facing websites
- Experience managing multiple web/internet projects
Required Technical Expertise
Demonstrated hands-on experience with:
- Enterprise SharePoint architecture (Online and/or On-Prem)
- CMS platforms (Drupal strongly preferred)
- SharePoint-to-CMS migration initiatives
- Microsoft 365 ecosystem (SharePoint Online, Teams, Power Platform)
- Azure services and integrations
- API integrations and secure authentication models
- Git-based source control and CI/CD
- Dev / QA / Prod environment promotion
- WCAG / ADA / Section 508 accessibility compliance
- Role-based access and governance design
- Production troubleshooting (performance, permissions, integrations)
- Workflow automation (Power Platform, Nintex, or similar)
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and govern enterprise SharePoint and CMS platforms
- Support large public-facing website operations
- Lead modernization and CMS migration initiatives
- Establish architectural standards and governance guardrails
- Produce current-state and target-state architecture documentation
- Support release cycles and CI/CD processes
- Provide Tier 2/3 troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Implement accessibility-first design patterns
- Mentor internal technical teams
Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
