Our client, a leading organization in the research and technology sector, is seeking a Systems Administrator 2 to join their team. As a Systems Administrator 2, you will be part of the HPC Platform Engineering team supporting research computing environments. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Systems Administrator
Location: Redmond, WA - Hybrid (2-3 days)
Pay Range: $34.93 - $38.47 on Experis W2 (Benefits/401k/PTO)
What's the Job?
- Build, deploy, and maintain high-performance computing (HPC) cluster infrastructure, including compute, storage, and networking components
- Develop and operate automation tools for cluster deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management
- Diagnose and resolve platform-level issues impacting reliability, performance, or workload execution
- Participate in the full DevOps lifecycle, including code development, review, testing, and production operations
- Validate HPC platforms for readiness, security compliance, and internal customer use
What's Needed?
- Hands-on Linux systems administration experience, proficient with the Linux terminal
- Experience with automation tools such as Python, Ansible, Terraform
- Knowledge of distributed, multi-user systems, networking, and storage concepts in large-scale Linux environments
- Exceptional troubleshooting, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to produce clear and concise documentation
