Our client is seeking a Financial Analyst, FP&A to support financial planning, analysis, and pricing activities within a distribution environment. This role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, and department leaders to provide timely, accurate insights that support business decisions, improve profitability, and strengthen forecasting accuracy.
- Support the annual budgeting process, which typically runs from August through Thanksgiving
- Partner with department budget owners to build, review, and update budgets and forecasts
- Maintain and update budget templates and planning tools
- Assist with headcount planning and related financial analysis
- Build, maintain, and update financial models in Excel
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support leadership and operational decision-making
- Review pricing requests from the Sales team
- Analyze margins and profitability across customers, products, and channels
- Support the pricing approval process with clear financial analysis and recommendations
- Act as a key FP&A point of contact for Sales, Marketing, and department leaders
- Collaborate cross-functionally to assess the financial impact of business initiatives
- Support special projects and continuous improvement efforts as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- 4–7 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or corporate finance
- Experience in distribution, manufacturing, or a similar operational environment preferred
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Effective communication skills and comfort partnering with non-finance stakeholders
