We are looking for a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team in Shelby, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing financial performance, identifying gaps, and collaborating with teams to implement improvement strategies. You will manage plant financial reporting, support group financial activities, and provide insights to optimize costs and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and evaluate monthly and annual financial reports to track operational and maintenance performance.
• Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify variances, providing actionable insights to improve outcomes.
• Create dashboards and tools to monitor financial metrics and streamline reporting processes.
• Collaborate with teams across the organization to integrate comprehensive financial reporting systems.
• Respond to ad hoc financial reporting requests and deliver timely analyses.
• Assist in developing annual budgets and periodic forecasts for operations and maintenance expenses.
• Conduct cost analysis to uncover drivers and recommend strategies for optimization.
• Partner with managers to provide financial guidance and support strategic decision-making.
• Present financial findings and recommendations to leadership in a clear and actionable manner.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and internal controls, supporting audits and reviews as required.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in financial analysis, ideally within an operations or maintenance-focused environment.
• Expertise in Excel and proficiency in Power BI; familiarity with systems such as Great Plains or Anaplan is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to evaluate financial data and make recommendations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey findings effectively.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Knowledge of cost analysis techniques and budgeting processes.
• Capability to assess financial trade-offs and identify potential risks.
