About the Role
This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving engineering execution across the FlightPath3D platform.
You will lead engineering for a platform used by millions of airline passengers every month. As airlines move toward connected aircraft and cloud-based inflight services, FlightPath3D sits at the center of that transformation.
Our engineering organization includes approximately 30 engineers across the US and Europe, working on client applications, cloud services, content management systems, and QA.
What You’ll Do
Engineering Leadership
- Lead and grow distributed engineering teams
- Establish strong execution processes and engineering culture
- Mentor senior engineers and engineering managers
AI-Driven Development
- Drive adoption of AI tools to accelerate development, testing, and debugging
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work closely with Product, Implementation, and Account Management
- Participate in technical discussions with partners and customers when needed
What You Should Have
- 10+ years of software engineering experience
- 5+ years leading engineering teams
- Experience building distributed systems and cloud platforms
- Strong architectural judgment across backend systems, APIs, and client applications
- Experience managing distributed teams across time zones
Experience with aviation systems, mapping platforms, gaming engines, or real-time visualization is a plus.

The Director of Engineering will play a key role in shaping the technology, architecture, and engineering organization that powers the next generation of FlightPath3D’s platform across the global aviation ecosystem.
Pay: From $150,000.00 per year
