Position Summary:
The Business Manager – Client & Product within the New York COO office supports the client and product Corporate Client teams in NY by providing cross departmental day-to-day business management, business development and project management support. The Business Manager ensures seamless execution of business strategies across the customer and product lifecycle and works in close co-operation with Front Office and Support functions (Compliance, Risk, Operations, Finance). In close coordination with the Business Managers of COO, the Business Manager identifies, analyzes and provides solutions to business needs and manages the implementation of related changes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
o Provide day to day business support to NY Corporates Client (CC) teams – client and products. Responsibilities include administrative support and issue resolution as needed, policy, procedure and control related tasks, amongst others.
o Support the strategic business development and COO efforts, partner with respective departmental business heads and support areas and support the planning, analysis and execution of business development initiatives.
o Provide Project Management support for strategic and operational projects.
o Support Senior Business Managers in the preparation of analytical or other material (include meeting preparation, presentations, minutes etc.)
o Analyze client and product data for data quality issues and regulatory requirements.
o Administrative support for CC teams incl. but not limited to supporting/executing FO responsibilities in credit process, product approval process, maintenance of CRM Dynamics (incl. Data Quality) and other FO systems
o Support the performance of BPDD (Business Partner Due Diligence), COMWIO, TPRM and other relevant processes/controls for Front Office and COO
o Draft and update relevant CBNA policies such as CBRS of NY Branch and CMLLC amongst others via identifying, liaising and aligning with relevant stakeholders.
o Audit support for Corporate Clients related exams, including exam fieldwork and finding remediation support and/or remediate internal and/or external audit findings.
o Partner with the Operational Risk Managers for CC. Responsibilities include capturing, reporting and monitoring of Operational risk entries for the Front Office in Bank systems, amongst others.
o Miscellaneous responsibilities as assigned.
Experience /Qualifications/Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, Finance or related area of study
o Up to 3 years of professional experience in financial services, preferably in a bank
o Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment with good project management skillset.
o Must be highly motivated and delivery focused with strong organizational and analytical skills.
o Strong initiative and good work ethic with flexibility and willingness to take on new tasks as required.
o Ability to cope with steep learning curve and volume driven demands.
o Strong team player with good interpersonal skills
o Able to work collaboratively with business line executives and cross functions departments located locally and offshore.
o Excellent verbal and written communication and analytical skills
o Strong computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft applications (Word, Excel and SharePoint)
o Strong attention to detail as well as organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
