Suyash Consulting, LLC (SUYASH) is actively seeking a Water Resources Project Engineer to work in our Columbia, MD Office. The water resources project engineer will serve in a technical role under the direction of a project manager for a wide array of planning and design services.
Responsibilities:
- Leads the planning and design efforts for a variety of water resources and site development projects.
- Training and mentoring junior staff.
- Coordination with clients and team members.
- Preparation of technical reports and technical documentation of calculations performed.
- Participation in proposal and business development efforts.
- SWM design, erosion control, drainage, permitting, hydrologic/ hydraulic modeling, NPDES related services, and GIS/CADD skills. Other desired experience includes: watershed assessments, stream assessment/ restoration, water quality monitoring/ modeling.
- Perform MDOT SHA PRD or MDE Project Reviews.
- Construction cost estimating.
Requirements: BSCE in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- 5-10 years of experience Required.
- MDOT SHA PRD or MDE Project Review experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of MS Office, MicroStation, InRoads a plus.
- Working knowledge of hydraulic and hydrologic modeling programs and techniques including TR-20, TR-55, HEC-2, HEC-HMS, ABSCOUR, HEC-18 and HY-8 Required.
- PE preferred.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
