Compensation: $95,000 – $145,000 base salary + 10–15% bonus

Overview
A well-established manufacturing company is seeking a Process Engineer to provide technical leadership and support safe, efficient plant operations. This role works closely with operations and maintenance teams to improve process stability, increase production reliability, and drive continuous improvement across the facility.
The Process Engineer serves as a key technical resource for the production units, helping troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and strengthen operational discipline while maintaining a strong presence on the plant floor.

Key Responsibilities
Safety & Process Compliance
Maintain strong field engagement to reinforce safe operating practices and process discipline.
Support Management of Change (MOC) reviews, Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), and risk assessments.
Assist in incident investigations and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented.
Maintain and update key process documentation including PFDs, P&IDs, mass and energy balances, and relief system data.
Identify potential process safety risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Operations Support
Build strong working relationships with operators and supervisors through consistent plant-floor interaction.
Translate engineering concepts into practical guidance that supports day-to-day operations.
Review operational data, logbooks, alarm history, and trends to identify improvement opportunities.
Provide technical troubleshooting and support during upsets or unplanned events.
Process Optimization
Monitor key performance indicators such as yield, energy consumption, throughput, and raw material efficiency.
Analyze operational data to identify root causes of chronic issues and implement improvements.
Partner with subject matter experts to strengthen operating procedures and performance standards.
Support the effective use of automation and control systems to improve plant performance.
Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
Work cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, reliability, and engineering teams to address operational challenges.
Provide technical leadership on projects focused on process control, reliability improvements, and production efficiency.
Encourage collaboration and open communication across plant teams to support long-term operational success.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline required.
Experience in chemical, petrochemical, fertilizer, or heavy manufacturing environments preferred.
Solid understanding of process safety, environmental compliance, and industrial operations.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and plant operations personnel.
