Pay Range: $31.47 - $46.89 per hour

Summary
This role works to perform a variety of activities relating to software support and/or engineering. Analyzes, designs, develops, debugs, and modifies computer code for end user applications, beta general releases, and production support. Assists with development and implementation of applications, web pages, and user-interfaces using a variety of software applications, techniques, and tools. Solves complex problems in administration, maintenance, integration, and troubleshooting of code and application ecosystem. Develops and presents technical end user and design documentation. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Handles highly complex work critical to the organization.
- Develop and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
- Develop ad-hoc solutions that require custom coding related to data analytics needs
- Work with end users to gather requirements and lead testing efforts
- Help maintain code quality, organization and automatization.
- Provide appropriate written documentation of project development and programming code.
- Performs other related work as needed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s in computer science or software engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years related experience
- Strong background in cloud computing, software engineering and tools development.
- Experience on the frontend of user-facing elements developed in ReactJS with server-side logic.
- Experience programming in Python and Java/C#
- Experience with database technologies
- Works well with others and as part of a team and also willing to pick up new technologies independently
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Job Qualifications
- Master’s in computer science or software engineering.
- Desire to work with genomic, clinical and imaging data.
- AI and Big Data Analytics skills.
