About Us
CSIK Consulting is a low voltage contractor specializing in structured cabling and security systems for commercial and government clients. We design, install, and maintain the physical infrastructure that modern networks and building security depend on. We're growing and looking for an Operations Manager to lead our field operations and drive project execution across our portfolio.
The Role
We're looking for a hands-on Operations Manager who knows low voltage work inside and out. You'll own the day-to-day operations of our project delivery — managing crews, coordinating materials, keeping projects on schedule and on budget, and making sure our work meets the quality standards our clients expect. This is a hybrid role with time split between the office, job sites, and remote work as projects require.
What You'll Do
- Oversee daily field operations across multiple concurrent structured cabling and security system projects
- Manage and mentor field supervisors, lead technicians, and installation crews
- Coordinate project scheduling, labor allocation, and material procurement to meet deadlines
- Conduct site walks, quality inspections, and punch list reviews to ensure workmanship standards
- Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and sales to scope new work and develop installation plans
- Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships, including material ordering, delivery coordination, and accountability
- Track project budgets, labor hours, and profitability — identify variances early and course correct
- Enforce safety policies, OSHA compliance, and job site standards across all active projects
- Develop and improve operational processes, SOPs, and crew training programs
- Maintain fleet, tools, and equipment inventory — ensure crews are properly equipped
- Report on project status, resource utilization, and operational KPIs to leadership
- Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management for field personnel
What You Bring
- 5–10 years of experience in low voltage operations, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role
- Strong working knowledge of structured cabling systems (Cat6/Cat6A, single-mode and multi-mode fiber, cable pathways, MDF/IDF buildouts, rack and stack)
- Strong working knowledge of security systems (access control, CCTV/IP camera systems, door hardware, head-end equipment)
- Experience managing field crews of 10+ technicians across multiple job sites
- Familiarity with industry standards (BICSI, TIA/EIA, NEC, local codes)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and low voltage construction drawings
- Proficiency with project management or scheduling tools
- Strong budget management skills — you track labor, materials, and margin closely
- Excellent communication skills — you're equally comfortable on a job site and in a client meeting
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed
Nice to Have
- BICSI RCDD or Installer certifications
- OSHA 30-Hour certification
- Experience with government or federal contract work
- Familiarity with Bluebeam, Procore, or similar construction management software
- Experience scaling operations as a company grows (adding crews, expanding service areas)
