About the Role
A well-established, growth-focused middle market private equity firm based in Chicago is seeking an Investor Relations Associate to join its team. This is a high-visibility role supporting a global LP base across fundraising, reporting, and investor communications.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a key point of contact for a global LP base, handling reporting, portal access, capital activity, and ad hoc investor requests
- Own the quarterly reporting cycle — compiling, reviewing, and distributing investor updates, memos, and supporting materials
- Build and maintain investor presentations and marketing collateral for both existing LPs and prospective investors
- Respond to DDQs, RFIs, and consultant database requests with accurate, well-packaged information
- Support the firm's fundraising process, including diligence materials, pipeline tracking, and CRM management
- Assist with logistics and content preparation for annual investor meetings and LP events
- Conduct competitive benchmarking and market research to support investor communications
- Coordinate on press releases and other external communications as needed
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree required; 2+ years of experience in private equity, banking, consulting, or a finance/accounting function
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills — you'll be client-facing and your work product needs to reflect it
- Detail-oriented to a fault; accuracy and polish matter here
- Comfortable managing competing priorities and deadlines without dropping the ball
- Self-starter who can own a workload independently while collaborating well with a small, senior team
- Strong analytical instincts and sound judgment under pressure
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
