Job Title: Mainframe Software Engineer (Print Systems)
Location: Boulder, CO 80301 (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $44.90 – $52.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mainframe Software Engineer to join a highly skilled team supporting and enhancing print-related systems on a mainframe platform. This role offers the opportunity to build deep technical expertise while working collaboratively to develop, maintain, and improve critical print processes.
Support development, maintenance, and enhancement of print-related applications on a mainframe platform
Assist with coding, testing, and debugging tasks following established development practices
Investigate system issues, document findings, and implement solutions with guidance
Participate in troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis
Contribute to code reviews and technical design discussions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integration and performance
Maintain accurate documentation for systems, processes, and technical decisions
Continuously build knowledge of mainframe technologies, tools, and best practices
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required
Professional experience in software development, system design, or integration
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to document processes and technical findings thoroughly
Experience or exposure to mainframe technologies (z/OS, PLX, Assembler) preferred
Ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment
Experience with debugging and troubleshooting complex systems
Ability to identify process improvements and enhance workflows
Strong documentation and technical writing skills
Commitment to delivering high-quality, complete solutions
