· Recommendations/solutions to any technical issues such as manufacturability.
· Evaluates manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
· Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors as needed.
· Designs 3D models for parts based on customer supplied drawings, and for tooling/fixturing as needed to assist in manufacturing.
· Creates manufacturing drawings for the production floor and inspection.
· Documents manufacturing processes in company MRP system.
· Develops appropriate material and ouside service criteria and documents in MRP system.
· Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
· Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods as needed; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
· Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
· Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.
· Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
· Maintains product and process data base by entering data.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Acts as a liaison between the company and customers to ask/answer technical questions.
